    Our Story

    At Arrow and Aperture, we’re a father-and son team — Jason and Luke Castaneda — who share a passion for capturing the world through our lenses.

    Meet the Photographers


    For us, photography started at different times but grew into a shared journey.

    Luke Castaneda

    Luke, now a high school sophomore, discovered his love for photography after a family trip to Banff in 2024. Inspired by the landscapes, he began experimenting with different styles and perspectives, especially during his digital photography class as a freshman. His eye for detail and storytelling has already been recognized at both a district-wide art exhibition and a high school photography showcase.

    Jason’s photography journey began more than a decade ago, sparked by a weekend workshop in Michigan with his favorite photographers, Todd and Brad Reed. Several classes and countless shutter clicks later, photography has become a creative outlet and a way to see the world with fresh perspective.

    Our Vision

    Arrow and Aperture was born from the idea of slowing down, noticing the details, and sharing the moments that move us. From serene landscapes and intimate close-ups to quiet shorelines and vibrant blooms, each image tells a piece of our story and invites you to see the world a little differently.
